Here we have a very interesting Wannabee; This trophy comes to you as a joint effort of SOCNET and several members of the ArmyRanger.com family.

RALPH HALL
1654 HUGH HUNTER RS, APT 13
OAK GROVE, KY 42262-9159
Email: dreamaker158@yahoo.com
Ph: 706 863 1967
LR # 01495 AV LIFE = (Life Ranger, #1495, Active Voter, membership expires at end of his LIFE)
04/12/12D (He joined WAR through USMRA 12 Dec 04)
USMRA CP

Understand he stretched the truth to get into WAR, and now that he has been exposed, they are dropping him like a hot potato.

There is no evidence that he ever served in combat, but if you look at the photo he provided, he is wearing the following awards and decorations:

-CIB (2nd Award)
-Master Blaster with a mustard stain
-Silver Star (hidden under the lapel in this photo, but visible in the first)
-Bronze Star (with either a "V" device or an OLC)
-Purple Heart
-ARCOM
-JSAM
-Good Conduct Medal (w/knot) indicates more than 6 years TIS
-NDSM w/ Star indicates that he was in before and after 9/11
-GWOT
-AFG Campaign
-NCOPDR (so add PLDC to the list of schools he knocked out)
-ASR
-OSSR (the shortest tour he could do and qualify for this would be a year in Korea)
Foreign jump wings (Think it is Kingdom of Jordan)

Left shoulder does appear to be Ranger Tab over Scroll, over USAIS

During an interview, he claimed to have attended Basic, AIT (Not OSUT) as an 11B, then to airborne, military freefall, pathfinder, and Ranger. Was assigned to A/3d Ranger Battalion. Deployed a year in Afgan, and returned to Fort Benning; following two weeks leave, he deployed to Iraq and on 28 March 2004 conducted a combat parachute operation.

Now for a couple of quotes from our man Ralph when confronted on details of his military career:

DJDREAMAKER wrote:Sorry mate, I've got a top secret clearance so unless you have a lot of friends in Washington D.C. and maybe a miracle you won't find anything on me (believe me, Colonels have tried; all of which knew my commanding officers personally) <No disrespect intended!> But you are right though, we do mostly operate out of Ft. Benning. <Good eye!> You are as sharp as a combat ready Kunai <Again no disrespect intended!>

DJDREAMAKER wrote:Due to circumstances, I cannot tell you very much about time, location, present situation, or much of what happened. This is what I can tell you... I went to Afghanistan as an E-3 in 2003. Due to combat action; I was promoted to E-5, saved my C.O.'s life and was awarded the Bronze Star. -break- I was in and out of Iraq on various missions until March 28 2004 on which we did a combat jump into the midst of Iraq in which I was shot in the left hip and despite my injuries, fought on to the Ranger objective saving the lives of my fellow comrades and thereby earning the Silver Star, Purple Heart, and a hell of a lot of recovery. Sorry, wish I could tell you more. Perhaps I'll get the chance at a later date.

Somehow I doubt that we will--just as we were unable to find anyone in 3d Ranger Battalion who knew him. Ralphie boy has dropped off the screen (at least for the time being). As more details become available, we might come back to our boy, later.
